AN EXCELLENT SPIRIT.
Daniel 5:12....for as much as an excellent spirit, and knowledge and understanding, interpreting of dreams and showing of hard sentences and dissolving doubt, were found in the same Daniel, whom the king named Belteshazzar. Now, let Daniel be called, and he will show the interpretation..
Who was this man Daniel? He was a Jew. Whose name means God is my judge. A noble Jewish youth of Jerusalem. He was taken into captivity by king Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and served the king and his successors with loyalty and ability until the time of Persia conqueror Cyrus. But the scripture recorded something different about him. Which distinguished him among his other friends. It is an excellent spirit.
What is excellent.?
It means something extremely good. If it is to be a higher institution grade. It will be first class upper. A superior ability.
This adjective word qualified Daniel in a special way. He possess excellent ability. But the scripture called it excellent spirit. Imagine the spirit that was endowed upon Daniel. The spirit must be from above (God) this are something that Bible recorded about Daniel from the first chapters of his history.
Daniel 1:18..Daniel purpose (determine)in his heart that he would not defils himself with the portion of the kings meal nor with the wine which he drank .
Therefore, he requested from of the prince of the Ennuch that he might not defiles himself.
The best place you can find great people is where they are doing what they ought to do
In the scriptural Bible quoted above. It was clearly shown that Daniel wasn’t a food frick. He took his both physical and spiritual growth very serious. He shun anything that has to do with idol. (Torah commandment) and he didn’t try to please anybody at the detriment of his own life. Oh! What a disciplined man.
