A year Of fruitfulness. Says the Lord.
As you know that want is human desire since the day God gave us the freedom Of choice. Which is the drives that make us who we are. But, it is unfortunate that we never cross-examine our wants if they are what we really need.
Sadly, because it is difficult for us to juxtapose the yardstick Of both the wants and needs Of our lives. Then, resolution will be the only answer that can help us to do justice to it and make us a better person through taking the right decision.
What is Resolution?.
Resolution is a promise a person makes for the new year.
More so, Resolutions can come in many forms. Some people make a promise to change a bad habit, such as quitting smoking or eating less junk food. Other people make a promise to develop a positive habit, such as reading books that will add positive value to our lives, obedience, living a moral standard life etc.
What was the genesis Of RESOLUTION.
The tradition of New Year's resolutions dates can be traced all the way back to 153 B.C.
According to the chronicles. January is named after Janus, a mythical god of early Rome.
History made us to understand that Janus had two faces — one looking forward, and one looking backward. This allowed him to look back on the past and forward toward the future. .
Furthermore, December 31, the Romans imagined Janus looking backward into the "old year" and forward into the "new year" .
This became a symbolic time for Romans to make resolutions for the new year and forgive enemies for troubles in the past. .
The Romans also believed Janus could forgive them for their wrongdoings in the previous year. The Romans would "give gifts" and make "promises" , believing Janus would see this and bless them in the year ahead.
And thus the New Year's resolution was born!.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans:12:2...
Total Transformation comes within. That's the only reason why perfect resolution starts with FORGIVENESS. Not only those who have offended us but also unto ourselves. Forgetting the past, learn from it, correct the errors, and determine to make positive change with the right attitude. Put on a garment Of good character and be faithful in all you do.
Respect is past Of resolution. Focus and self encouragement are also not exempted. Good manners and appreciation cannot be overlook, while surrounding ourselves with people that matters in-respective Of their age. Finally, contentment, fear Of God, learning new things that can help us to grow, giving, talent development, humility, loving more people, abstainance from all evil works and attitude cannot be undermine.
These are the expected resolutions that are needed in our lives and not in the other way round.
Any act Of pride, disdainful behaviour or treatment is a wrong definition Of RESOLUTION.
