A MESSAGE OF RESTORATION

.     I welcome you as you read this article. It is a Good News that when God is willing to bring settlement into a land, the people must be ready to make Decision.

What you I mean?

   I mean, as Merciful and Gracious God is, He can never do what a man should do. So is the Theme For This Year ANNUAL CONVENTION. " I will Heal Their Land". This statement is personalised to the Speaker  Which is "GOD" but we should understand that it is not a Statement of Promise or Covenant, it is a Conditional or supposition word. Let us Read it in Full now

.. 2nd Chronicles. The verse reads, “If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14)

    Let me start the break down of the golden verse with " If my people who are called by name " this statement is for some categories of people which are " THOSE THAT ARE CALLED BY GOD'S NAME" this can be a person, a group of people, a family, a community and it can also be a nation.  Are you one of them? God said, Come back  to Him in your pains, but we also have to comply with my guidelines only then will I do the needful.. 

    Have you read mark 10:27...For with men these cannot be possible but for with God all this are possible. This means that men capacity have a limit in rectifying issues but when we involve God and we are also ready to do what He says, Good result must be the answer. Everybody want God to intervene into their matters but they block that path against His leading through which He can help them. 

    Before I conclude, The path to Settlement you desire is in your hand.

 "If" only you will Humble yourselve. It means let God be in Control of your will. Humility reverses an attitude that displays pride or arrogance. 

Matt 23:12

 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. 

James 4:6

 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. 

1 Peter 5:5

 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 

James 4:10

 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

1 Peter 5:6

 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time

    Any nation, Group, family or individual that Rise their heart against God because of either poverty or riches will have to contend with God. The danger of Pride is not what you fight and when you fight. The Danger of Pride is Who will Fight you; and the answer is "GOD" himself.

     Humility is an act of will. God cannot do this for you. God cannot heal a heart that is not willing to surrender.

God is available to everyone who is ready to  settle for His will. So the question is no longer whether you are searching for God, rather are you willing to be found in His will. 

Humbling ourselves implies that there are areas of our lives where we have rejected the Lordship of Jesus. We have chosen to become god and have become the leaders of our own lives. What are the areas of your life that have become an idol to you?

Remember, Pharaoh was unwilling to humble himself before God.  

  "If" only you PRAY.  We express expectations of God when we pray. We want Him to listen. We tend to want Him to agree with our personal assessment of the circumstance. We also desire that He answer quickly.  But We’ve been doing the praying, why isn’t God hearing?

The answer is simple. In the way 2nd Chronicles 7:14 is presented, it revealed that God wants more than just our words. He want us to humbly and Consistently approach Him, acknowledging that He is the one who will provide the answer. As much as we want to control or be the one to fix the problem, we need to rely on Him.  Seeking God’s face means more than just a brief whisper of words when we are in trouble. In the Scripture, Daniel, Joseph, Ruth are good examples. 

 Be ready to Seek God sincerely in This Year Convention. God is ready to do the impossible in the lives of anyone who is willing to come to Him.

  Jer 33:3  says...Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not. Prayer is the power for revival

 "If" you can seek His face. Many people presumed these word as prayer. No, It means God want us to relate with him as His sons and daughters. He want to come close to you than being a God.  God said, I'm your father,seek my face. Many people seek God only when their is no way or in time of trouble. God said it is good but He want us to know Him as able God; and also as a father. 

Chron 16:11 says,....Seek the Lord and His strength, seek His face continually.

Ps 105:4 Says....Seek the Lord, and His strength: seek His face evermore.             

    Brethren, In this Year Convention, Seeking God must be your Desire and not what the place looks like or how crowded the auditorium is. 

"If" you can Repent.

Act 3: 19 Says, Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.     

   This Scriptural passages revealed that repentance is more than just talking to God about where we missed the mark. Repentance is not simply saying, God I’m sorry. Repentance requires genuie commitment that must produce fruit of salvation. Repentance produces life in the long term. It also implies that we will restore the loss others have experienced because of our sin. Moreso, Turning from our wicked ways implies that we are willing to name and claim specifically areas of our lives where we have failed God. We are willing to let go of all evil conduct, thought and bad companies we keep, burn bridges and turn a new leaf. We are willing to also bring people back to Christ whom we had turned against God. That is to say, Our annual Convention is also centred on restoration of lives. As you attend this year program, be ready to become a new person when you leave.

 Then, I will Heal your Land.

   We don’t normally associate healing with land. Physical speaking, healing is the connotation that first comes to mind when thier is a cut on our finger. But it heals over time. The tests results return and show the Kidney problem is completely healed. I can stretch the concept of healing to cover relationships too.  The couples/ friends seem to have healed the rift between themselves. 

The strongest Meaning of this Scriptural passage is that "Healing our land must start with God healing the wounds of our hearts". Don’t fool yourself into thinking that only some set of poepl needs to be healed. The oppressed need healing, the Rich needs healing from pride, selfishness, greed. All systems of governances needs healing. The church needs healing from worldliness and ideology.

 The healing of a nation starts with the  inner healing of individuals. The present condition of Tertiary education system in Nigeria shows that  If our country and campuses is going to experience healing, it’s on you and i to step up to find healing in our lives. 

  As our Annual Convention approaches, plan to attend. Come with Friends and family from all conners of the world. Let us Converge in Divine Fellowship that will spring forth RESTORATION in all facet of life. If you are ready, God is willing.
